Marcia Shelberg
GRAMMAR SCHOOL ACADEMIC DIRECTOR
B. A. in Elementary Ed. with Early Childhood Ed., Arizona State University
In my current capacity as Academic Director and a member of the Leadership Team at Caritas, I am deeply committed to providing support to our dedicated teachers, enthusiastic students, and engaged parents. My responsibilities include a wide variety of tasks related to curriculum and instruction.
Before assuming this position, I spent many years directly in the classroom, in both public and private schools, mostly teaching grades K, 1, and 2. After leaving the classroom, I also had the privilege of serving as our Peer Coach, a role that allowed me to collaborate closely with fellow teachers, offering guidance and support as they continuously honed their teaching craft.
Since 1986, my husband Scott and I, both Phoenix natives, have been married. We attended the same schools from kindergarten through college. We have two sons; one lives out of state with his wife and family, and the other lives with his wife in Tempe. We have been active members of Cornerstone Christian Fellowship in Chandler since 1997, serving in various ministries over the years. As empty-nesters, we cherish summer road trips, exploring new foods, and spending quality time with our growing family. In my free time, I enjoy studying the Bible and content related to spiritual formation, mentoring other women, drinking coffee, listening to music, reading historical fiction, doing puzzles, camping, and connecting with friends.
